AIPH University & Apollo Launch Allied Health Programs

Bhubaneswar: AIPH University, Bhubaneswar, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Apollo Healthcare Academy to jointly offer Bachelor’s programs in Allied Health Sciences, marking a significant step toward addressing the growing shortage of skilled allied healthcare professionals in India and globally.

The strategic collaboration brings together AIPH University’s strong academic foundation with Apollo Healthcare Academy’s extensive clinical expertise to deliver industry-aligned undergraduate programs that combine rigorous academics with immersive hospital-based training. The programs will focus on high-demand specialisations including Anesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Critical Care Technology, and other allied health disciplines critical to modern healthcare systems.

Designed in alignment with the guidelines of the National Commission for Allied & Healthcare Professionals (NCAHP), the curriculum ensures regulatory compliance, national credibility, and global recognition. Students enrolled in these programs will benefit from structured clinical rotations at Apollo Hospitals and affiliated healthcare facilities, culminating in a comprehensive final-year internship that prepares them for real-world clinical environments.

The partnership responds directly to a pressing global healthcare challenge. International health bodies, including the World Health Organization, have consistently highlighted the widening gap between healthcare demand and the availability of trained allied health professionals. As healthcare systems expand and populations age, the need for well-trained allied health personnel has become more urgent than ever. This initiative aims to bridge that gap by producing graduates who are competent, confident, and job-ready from the outset.

Speaking on the collaboration, Dr. Usha Agarwal, Vice Chancellor, AIPH University, said,
“This collaboration reflects our shared vision of producing highly skilled healthcare professionals. By integrating AIPH University’s interdisciplinary academic strengths with Apollo’s proven expertise in healthcare delivery, we aim to nurture graduates who will make an immediate and lasting impact on society.”

Sivaramakrishnan Venkateswaran, CEO, Apollo Knowledge, added, “Apollo Healthcare Academy is committed to bridging the gap between classroom learning and hospital practice. This partnership will empower students with the confidence, exposure, and skillset required to thrive not only in India but also across global healthcare systems. It is a key part of our workforce development initiatives to build the next generation of healthcare professionals capable of contributing meaningfully worldwide.”

Students enrolling in the allied health programs can expect an industry-relevant curriculum co-developed by academic experts and hospital clinicians, access to experienced faculty from both institutions, and training supported by modern laboratories, classrooms, and digital learning platforms. The programs also include global readiness modules such as bridge programs, language training, and licensing support, along with placement assistance through Apollo Hospitals and its partner healthcare networks. Opportunities for applied research and academic collaboration with faculty from both institutions will further enhance learning outcomes.

With this MoU, AIPH University and Apollo Healthcare Academy reaffirm their shared commitment to strengthening allied health education and building a sustainable pipeline of skilled healthcare professionals. Together, they aim to contribute meaningfully to India’s healthcare ecosystem while preparing graduates for opportunities both domestically and internationally.
