The Kanakapura Road Centre is designed to support seniors recovering from surgeries with personalised transitional and rehabilitation care. In addition to post-operative recovery support, the centre also focuses on palliative and hospice care, offering comfort-focused treatment to manage pain and provide emotional support. For families seeking temporary relief, the centre provides respite care, ensuring that their elderly loved ones receive professional, round-the-clock attention.
State-of-the-Art Facilities
The newly unveiled centre is equipped with 82 beds, including rooms and High Dependency Units (HDUs), to ensure residents’ comfort, safety, and access to critical care. The facility spans four floors, featuring a terrace lawn with an open-air seating area, allowing residents to relax and socialise. With the goal of creating an environment that fosters both physical and mental well-being, the centre also includes a physiotherapy hall and a terrace garden that accommodates group therapy sessions for seniors.
In line with holistic wellness, KITES Senior Care is planning to launch an Ayurveda studio at the Kanakapura Road Centre, where traditional wellness treatments will be available to residents. The facility is staffed by 24/7 medical professionals, including trained doctors, therapists, nurses, and caretakers, ensuring that residents have access to comprehensive medical care at all times.
Growing Presence in South India
The new facility on Kanakapura Road marks KITES Senior Care’s fifth centre in India, with other locations already established in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The brand has ambitious plans to further expand its presence across South India, enhancing accessibility to quality geriatric care for seniors in the region.
Strategic Merger and Expansion Plans
In a major strategic move, KITES Senior Care recently announced its merger with Columbia Pacific Communities, a leading player in the senior living and assisted living space. This merger adds an additional 2,000 senior living and assisted living units to KITES’ portfolio, with plans to add 3,000 more over the next five years. The expansion aims to create a comprehensive continuing care retirement community by integrating the newly acquired facilities.
Funding and Future Prospects
KITES Senior Care completed a Series A funding round, securing an investment of Rs 45 crore from Dr Ranjan Pai, a significant milestone in the company’s growth. The capital infusion will enable KITES Senior Care to further its mission of providing top-notch geriatric care services and continuing its expansion into new markets across South India.
